Why is my switch draining faster than it charges?

So I recently replaced my switch’s battery thinking that was the issue because it wouldn't charge or turn on while leaving it. When I received the new battery I noticed the switch turned on and as well as charged. I did some cleaning up and all of a sudden my battery was at 20% with the charger being in the console (OEM charger). I have no idea what It could be, I tried moving the batter to another switch and it changed correctly.

Could be a bad battery or you have knocked something of the board during the repair

So I tested the battery on another switch and it charges fine and works as intended. Prior to putting in the new battery on the switch, the old one wouldn't even turn on and I'm guessing that had to do with the same issue of not taking sufficient charge to even power on.

I’m thinking either bad M92T charging chip or USB-C charging socket is damaged and may need to be replaced.

When you noticed the battery was charged and the switch turns on were you able to play games and was the switch working fine if it was being used at that time?

Yeah, the switch was working as intended when I put in the new battery. Just didn't seem to charge sufficient enough to where it maintained voltage.

I recommend getting a USB-C Ammeter to troubleshoot the charging voltage / current coming from the charger into the switch. That may give us a better indication to what has gone faulty.

Other than that is there any signs of build up in the charging socket / bent charging pins?

Not that I can really see it looks pretty clean in there but I will get a meter and see what's going on
