Touch Bar dead won't come on after display replacement
I replaced my 2018 MacBook Pro (A1989 EMC3214) screen which I bought on Ebay stating its an exact match by a guy that sells them. Like a lot of these people on that site.
Questioned and stumped. I have No Touch Bar nothing lights up or functions, and yes I did reset SMC & NVRAM. Called Apple to remote in and went to Apple and I got no where I figured.
I was very careful 1st time ever to do this and I did not disconnect cable off touch bar but heard that Apple has a block on 3rd party replacements?
Is there anything on the replacement display that controls the touch bar?
Newbie is me for sure HELP ANYBODY
I didn't have an ESC key, it’s an assigned one on touch bar that is the biggest issue in having the13” Touch Bar model.
