samsung s4 stuck on battery charge screen after replacing screen

I have bought a Black Samsung s4 LCD digitizer from Nufix to change the screen on my white Samsung S4. Followed all instructions. the phone turns on but is stuck on the charge battery screen when put to charge. if i hold the power button down, the Samsung boot screen shows for a split second and the phone turns off. if i put the charger fast enough on the boot screen, it stays on the boot screen
