Boot up sounds, white screen, external monitor does not work

When boots up, I hear the music, it goes to white screen and stays there. Tried to boot from original disk, still got white screen and now disk is stuck. Connected an external monitor and it said no signal. Tried resetting PRAM. Called support and they had me hold the left shift key + command + option + power button. Then had me hold down the pad while booting to get disk back out, no go. I suspect the teacher droped the laptop as right hand lower corner is dented in (told me he did not drop it). I was told by support that it will cost 630.00 to 975.00 to fix since it is dented.

Is it the logic board? Of course they would not tell me.
