My R4 is not working?

I tried using my R4i revolution v1.4.1 on my DSi XL (v1.4.1) expect that when I click on the game it says “An error has occurred. Press and hold the power button to turn the system off. Please refer to the Nintendo DSi Operations Manual for troubleshooting.” I do not know why it is doing this. My DSi XL is the v1.4.1 and it works completely brand new. Some please help me. :’(
