Will you repair a seam?
The vest seam ripped out under the arm. It is about 4 inches long. Will you repair this?

The arm pit and crouch area tend to wear more from the friction and stress as you move about. So its likely the other side is also about to fail. Appling a sewn patch is about the best thing you can do.

Otherwise from what you’ve offered here it sounds like you need to find a tailor who can fix your jacket.

Hi dowdhuba, this sounds like something that happened in use? Is that accurate? The vest would have to be evaluated first to determine whether it could be repaired. Any thing is possible, however I can't say for certain without seeing it. I have a question for you? Since this is a Non-Warranty repair, would you willing to pay to get your jacket repaired? We are looking to the future and wanting our customer to help us save the planet by sharing in that responsibility. We promise to evaluate every worn garment fairly, we just ask that you do the same.
