Mic not working on whatsapp video

So I started to get an issue yesterday how my videos suddenly didn’t have audio to them. I was just using my phone and realised that when sending videos to people, the audio was just a screeching noise. It works for video calls and also works when recording videos on any other app, it is JUST when sending whatsapp videos. I tried to both restart my phone, reset all the setting and tried to disable and re-enable the microphone restrictions, but nothing has seemed to work. What else could be the problem?

I have replaced the screen and my proximity sensor has stopped working (probably due to a faulty flex cable) but the mic literally works with everything else so I couldn’t think of what the problem could be and the mic also stopped to work just randomly.
