Is my phone still working?

Hi, I’ve got a Micromax HS1 or infinity life that was running on android noughat when it died on me a while ago.The phone doesn’t have a display as I ripped it off after it broke. I tried connecting it to a pc to see if it works as it unexpectedly died. Windows wouldn’t even detect it! it doesn’t even show up on the device manager as an unrecognized device. But the phone does get warm near the chip when plugged in to charge. But the battery doesn’t seem to charge and there is no voltage near the contact point of the phone for the battery(Its got a removable battery). I wanna know if my phone would still work if I changed the display. I tried on many different pc’s but none would recognize it
