Why is my controller's LT acting like a RT?

My controller's LT and RT are both acting like a RT. When I play Red Dead I cannot interact with npcs without shooting them, and in minecraft I cannot put down blocks, only destroy. My triggers only seem to work “correctly" when they're reversed.
