Repairing touchpad that doesn't click

The base of my Microsoft Surface Book fell about 2 or 3 inches onto my desk, and now the trackpad doesn't click as well as it used to. The left corner clicks weakly, and not all the time. The right corner doesn’t accept clicks at all. The trackpad does respond to both single, and two-finger Touch commands. There are no cracks in the base case or trackpad.

Is it worth it to take the base unit apart (which isn’t easy, I know)? (I’ve never taken a computer apart before!)

Thanks for any advice
