iPhone SE not charge after battery repair

My friend replaced his iPhone SE’s battery recently.

He can’t charge it after replaced the battery, the phone says its charging but the percentage stays the same. He found if he remove the pentalobe screw the phone will charge normally. Then he used the phone without pentalobe screw for weeks without problem.

Today he got a new phone case which will holds the screens a little bit and after put it on the phone is not charge again, he found if he press down the bottom left corner of the screen the phone will not charge.

I have completely no idea what will cause this. Any ideas on what to do next or what the problem might be?
