MacBook white screen/won’t boot up

I know that just by the title, it would seem that this question has been answered a million times. This is a special case that I cannot find answers for.

One day my MacBook decided to not boot up, and instead gives me a gray/black screen. The chime works, apple logo is on, etc. Doing SMC and PRAM resets do not solve it, even though in the past it has.

The crazy thing about it is that when connected to external display via HDMI, I can see the screen (apple logo bar, login display). When logging in, I get the white screen and/or MacBook freezes while showing me my background that I had (still does my slideshow).

Now the only thing that I can do is either Recovery mode or single user mode. My drives are good as I have run multiple first aid tests. I kept trying to reinstall iOS, but every time I do, I get a “kernel” message, the message saying “your MacBook restarted because of an error...” and then that is a never ending loop. And that is where I am at right now.

Battery is good, hard drive looks good, and logicboard is brand new, just in case that was the issue.
