Replacing the LVDS cable without removing the whole screen?
I have a 15" 1.67 GHz PowerBook G4 with display problems, and I'm almost certain it's the LVDS cable. I also have a replacement cable on hand. However, the display repair tutorial for the 1.67 GHz models here involves removing and replacing the whole display, which involves taking out the logic board, which I would rather not do. Is it possible to replace just the LVDS cable on this model without taking most of the guts out or removing the whole LCD? Is it any different from the 1.5 GHz tutorial?
