1 Golf cart only goes in reverse (2006 Western 300)
I finally replaced the batteries in my 2006 Western 300 golf cart yesterday. After letting it sit too long the batteries were completely kaput. Charged it all last night and backed it out of the garage this morning to drive it a bit and recharge. It backed up fine and made the backup buzzing/beep noises but when I put the forward & reverse switch (dash mounted, electric - not mechanical) to forward it wouldn’t move. Had to back it into the driveway. Pretty sure it’s either a bad switch or controller, but don’t know what to buy. Either one below look pretty similar, and since it is running 6x8volt (48 volt) these seem to be correct but could use some advice how to test with multimeter and replace it. Prior to replacing the batteries it did make a weird growling sound when I would put it into forward, but it did run. I assumed that the sound was due to low power since at the time I only had 3-4 batteries that were holding 8+ volts.
