Red indicator light on, power button on the remote doesn't work.

Are you trying to turn the TV on?

Have you tried turning on the TV using the Power button on the TV and see if that works?

If the TV turns On OK (and turns Off when you press the button again) then the Power button on the remote may be faulty (or indeed the whole remote may be faulty - have you checked the batteries you didn’t say?)

To check if the remote is working OK you can use a digital camera or the camera in a mobile phone to test it.

Turn on the camera and then point the end of the remote that you point towards the TV, towards the lens of the camera.

Press a button on the remote and you should see a flashing light at the end of the remote in the screen of the camera.

Try a few button on the remote as the power button is the most “popular” button as it is used the most and the button’s contact surface can wear out.
