MagSafe not lighting up, and not charging
The other day I noticed my MagSafe cable is not lighting up when plugged into my Mac. The Mac is not charging I have reset the smc, and unplugged the battery. Is it the cable or could it be something else?

The first thing to do it test the mag-safe for output. On the right of this wiki is the pin out, test it with a multimeter.

Also see if anything is blocking full insertion on the mag-safe port (it is magnetic and can pick up small objects and block connection. Next test the pins on the mag-safe and see if they are fully extended (I use a sponger to gently press them in and see if they pop back.

do you have another charger to test? if the computer can't detect the charge it will not charge, try another charger or clean your charging port pins.

I don’t have another charger. I did clean the charging port pins also and did it help
