Botom of screen unresponsive .

I replaced the screen on my Pixel 3a with an assembly I purchased from IFIXIT in September 2019. I started noticing the bottom portion of my screen becoming unresponsive in late December when I replaced the screen protector that I has applied over the new screen. The problem always goes away for a period of time after I restart the phone. So it will be hard to pull up the app drawer or type on the keyboard with the phone in the vertical position then after I restart I can do both of those actions with no problems. This has lead me to be confused on if it is a hardware or software issue. Does anyone have any insights or experienced similar problems on their devices?
