The Micorphone isn't working. Static is heard/muffled sound
The mic works during snapchat, recording, but not voice recording (with whatsapp) or phone calls. The phone was in water before could the mic of been damaged? Are there 2 mics?

Yes there are two mics. The primary one would be at the bottom of the phone while the secondary one is at the top of the phone.
There is a little foam pad between the microphone hole and the actual microphone inside the phone. The problem most likely is that the foam pad which stops moisture from getting in is clogged.
Or it could be just the hole just needs a little cleaning with a soft bristle brush or a fine tip tool.
Note that this pad can’t be punctured if you poke a pin directly into the hole it would have to be bent in order to do so.
