Why can't I receive a call but I can make a call.

Have you checked that the phone is not in silent mode?

If it s not in silent mode can you call your number from another phone e.g. a mobile phone?

If so what indication do you get in the calling phone, a ringing signal, a busy signal, a recorded voice announcement etc?

If it is a ringing signal can you pick up and answer the DECT phone even if it is not ringing and check if you can talk OK to the caller.

What indication do you get when you call your own number from the DECT phone? You should get a busy signal.

If you get a ringing signal when you call your own number, try calling a mobile phone and check what number is being displayed on it when you call as you should get busy when you call your own number. This will not work if you have calling line identification (CLI) block activated on your landline service.

Hopefully you are calling from the correct number i.e. your phone number and that the line hasn’t been switched over somewhere and you are using someone else’s line.
