Is the memory in the 15T-DF100 Soldered On

In the HP Spectre x360 Convertible 15 (15t-df000) Unboxing Teardown video you show RAM being replaceable. HP has updated the model (15t-df100) with the 10th Gen Intel Comet Lake chips. Does anyone know if the RAM is soldered in these new models? I haven’t open the computer yet but will if the RAM is replaceable.

I’m going to do a tear down next week to validate. I haven’t seen a solid confirmation and experts on the HP Support Forum have told me differently.

I have the HP Spectre 15-DF1033DX and the memory was upgradeable. I bought an iFixit repair kit and easily replaced the memory in about 30 minutes. I don't believe the new 2020 15 inch HP Spectres are upgradeable though as they've reduced their footprint and needed to go to soldered memory.

I was able to upgrade the memory on my HP 15-DF1033DX 15 inch Spectre. Bought an iFixit repair kit from Best Buy and was able to upgrade in about 30 minutes with no problems. It only cost about $120 dollars!

Did you upgrade to 32 or 64GB? Where did you get the memory modules?

I upgraded to 32GB. I bought the memory online from Crucial.

Interesting.

According to the maintenance and service guide for a HP 15t-df100 CTO laptop, taken from this webpage it can be removed and replaced. See p.33 in the guide
