end of lvds broke wires

I have broken screen kids dropped it i removed plug from the screen and have other screens from ibook g4 g3 that the end matches the top but not to motherboard can i take the plug from the one macbook and put on the g3 end and use that lcd screen only want it to use at home and dont want to invest money into it i have 6 other macs but of coarse none of the plugs match the same to mother board and then end that goes to broken screen damaged will plug into ibook screen if i take it apart can it be fixed i have to replace one end or other for it to work witch is the easiest motherboard plug or screen plug basically the ibook clip plug looks the same as macbook but offby two pins if i shave the plasitic i can get to plug in to motherboard but be off by two wires or i can try and take apart plug and line up twenty wires is there a easy end swap to get it to line up right g4 aluminium hasflat plug on end and off by one wire but doesnt stay in motherboard can that clip be changed help
