MagSafe light green - battery stuck at 1%.

All in the title. MacBook Pro also only operates with the charger plugged in. When the charger is disconnected it just instantly shuts off and doesn’t start up until it is plugged in again and the power button is pressed. When on and plugged in, the battery is stuck at 1% and the Mac operates extremely slowly and laggy.

Most probably your battery has died!

Lets install this gem of an app to check it as well as the charging logic CoconutBattery take a snap shot of the main window so we can see what it tells us 在已经存在的问题里加入图片

Update (12/01/2019)

Well, it appears you had already replaced the battery given it only has 5 cycles with a manufacturing date of 2018.

But your battery is fully drained and the battery is not being charged at all! Charging with 0 Watts

This focus us onto the charging logic on your main logic board. This is going to take some deeper skills to diagnose what needs fixing on the logic board. Do you have someone local who can help you?

The other option is to replace the logic board with a better board as this series also has issues with the dedicated GPU. I would look at getting a 2012 logic board which has a better GPU.

In fact the system I’m using right now writing this was a 2011 model and now has a 2012 2.7 GHz board. It went through two 2011 logic boards before this one (GPU issues).

FYI - the S/N in the batteries info pane is the batteries not your systems.

Okay. Good to know.

Will I be needing a battery replacement?

It’s still under warranty from the guy I bought it from, so I should be able to get it sorted.
