How to replace volume buttons 7th gen, specifically volume down?
Volume up and pause work fine but volume down mechanism seems broken. Is it possible to replace mechanism and how please ?
I have workaround.. use volume limit under music options.

Volume down is working? That’s a good sign, so the ribbon cable is still good to go.

This is just the rocker switch. It is the mechanism below I'm looking for info on.
Hi Paul! Sorry for the late response. You could also remove everything from the housing (Logicboard replacement guide) and see what's wrong with the mechanism. You could also sent us pics at that moment so we can help you further.
