Black screen after screen replacement (backlight working)

Hey guys,

I'm looking for a bit of help. Recently replaced the lcd on my switch which was cracked.

Since replacing I get a black screen however the fan spins and also the screen gets temporarily brighter when holding the power button (but still black).

Any advice?

Also if someone could confirm what way up the lcd big connector goes, I have it with the connectors facing upwards but cant see how I could manipulate the cable to face the other way.
