@oldturkey03 sorry for the delayed response. I unsoldered the connector so you can get a visual of the Pcb.

@greenfortgriot there might be a chance of a short from soldering or possibly shorted traces. Post some images of your repair etc with your question. I am implying that you found the proper USB port for your repair

Update 10/04/19

Okay so here is the best I can see with that picture. The top and bottom hole on the right seem to be cracked. there are no more solder pads. You have multiple torn runs. You can solder the contacts to the next component following those traces. The problem is that you do not have enough clear picture to figure it out. Hence the question marks since I can not make out enough of the components that are possible candidates to connect to. I am sure you follow where I am going with those lines. That is where you need to solder some jumper wires from your USB connector to. The two larger holes on the left and right are anchors for the port so you should be okay with them in place. Not easy but it can be done. Grave concern I have is the right side of the connector but you can always try since you really have nothing to lose on this. I do urge you to practice some soldering on an old board first. You will have better results with your repair.

@oldturkey03 I updated the question & there are pictures of the PCB. I haven't resolved this issue yet.

@greenfortgriot ok looks like you have zero solder pads left. We'll have to see whaer we can connect your port to. Unless of course my vision is failing me. Any chance for slightly better pictures straight on with a bit more light? Trying to see the traces.....

Any numbers or identifier on the PCB just to see if there is a schematic etc. around?

The pads are where the connector goes. Its a "USB Port 2.0 Connector Type-B Female". There six pins on the connector to go into the 6 pads in the picture. Numbers around the area are R135, 38, R136, R21, R32.

@greenfortgriot it still looks like there are no pads to solder to. The left and right one are for the anchor and provide ground at best. The issue here is that you seem to have lost the solder pads and if you take a close look at the right 2 holes there appears to be a crack between them. At this time I think you really will have to try and solder the connector points either right on the traces somewhere or the next component on that trace.

That seems a bit difficult to do. I'm a relative novice at soldering.
