Gold prong on logic board

The gold prong on the top of the logic board broke off after searching the web for 2 days I think it has something to do with the antenna and I am getting no service but this could be causedby a vareity of things... anyway what I want to know is what is the main function of the gold prong byy the digitizer and LCD cables at the top of the logic board and can it be soldered back on?
