1 Day Old MacBook Pro dies at 50% battery.
I brought my new macbook pro yesterday and it is dying at exactly 50% battery. Ive tried a SMC reset but any other thoughts?

You’re not alone! New MacBook Pro shuts down at 25% battery
Apple has a defect in either their firmware or hardware we just don’t know and I would have expected Apple to have addressed it by now.

If also new original batteries start acting up that way, we've now reached the bottom with batteries..sad..
Down load a fresh copy of Mojave from the App store setup a OS installer following this guide How to create a bootable macOS Mojave installer drive and using it install it, see if that fixes things.
