PS4 CUH-1216A unable to recognise any disc.

I recently acquired a PS4 (CUH-1216A) which had seen better days. After fixing a HDMI port on the mainboard I was able to get the PS4 running again apart from the optical drive.

I've tried every option and method to try and get discs to read, including a whole new optical drive , nothing seams to have fixed the problem and continues to persist with the new drive I have as well.

The main errors I get are:

• Whizzing disc reading, then Unrecognized Disc.

•If the drive does eject the disc, it does it with some speed and this lead to the edges of discs peeling off plastic from the rollers of the drive, which stick to the disc and I have to clean off.

•Continous disc reading without end. I have to turn off the PS4 and manually eject the disc from the drive.

I hope anyone has any clue, I'm guessing it's a fuse or some part that has gone on the main board, but I'm unable to tell. Thanks for reading through this, feeling quiet defeated with this drive hahah.
