I have sound but dark dark screen, picture is just shadows
How do I get my screen back. It is black.

this “picture is just shadows” could mean that you do not have a backlight. Measure the output voltages on your power board connector to the main board. The values for that are printed on the power board itself. Let us know what voltages you get. Also, measure the voltages on the LED connector (power board to LED backlight) let us know what voltages you get on that. All of this of course in DC voltages and with the TV on. So make sure you do not shorten any of the pins out. No backlight can be a bad backlight array, bad power board and sometimes (lower possibility) the main board.
LG has had a run of TV’s with backlight array failure, so that would be my first suspect.

If adjusting contrast and brightness produce no results, it may be malfunctioning backlights. You'll need to take off the back and do a visual inspection for damaged components, loose connectors and circuit board tests. To provide more information to other participants that have more experience in this area than I, it would be advisable to also include your TV's model number and also any photo's of the problem you deem relevant.
