Dead Surface after attempting screen and battery replacement

I recently purchased a Surface Pro 4 with a shattered screen. I figured I could remove the shattered screen and replace the battery while putting on a new screen. After I completed the repair I have been unable to boot the device since. When plugged into a wall adapter the surface appears to be charging with a solid charging light no matter how long it has been charging. When on the dock the indicator light flashes. I contacted the battery replacement company and received a replacement in case my battery was DOA. I have replaced the battery and have observed no change in condition of my Surface. Is there anyone who can guide me to possible solutions? I am at a university studying Computer Engineering and figure there is no better way to apply what I am learning other than to repair this device if there is an underlying electrical issue. I have access to multimeters and oscilloscopes so equipment hopefully will not limit me. I have examined the entire motherboard and nothing looks fried but I understand sometimes components go bad while not producing a cosmetic change. I appreciate any and all insight of components to check for faulty operation. My SP4 is an i7 with 16GB of RAM. I have observed that different specs yield a different motherboard and power management system so if someone could provide usefull information for my config that would be amazing. Thank you ifixit community.

Re: "After I completed the repair I have been unable to boot the device since. " Does that mean the unit booted up OK before you replaced the screen? If it didn't, then you need to be checking for damaged traces, solder joints, start tracing voltages etc. If it did boot up, then take it apart and reassemble again taking special note of component placement, possible shorts, loose connectors etc as well as looking for intermittent sources potentially causing problems such as cracked solder joints, broken traces etc. The more times you take equipment apart, the more experience you will get noticing things you weren't aware of before.

I totally agree with taking it apart more. It worked completely fine before I replaced the screen/battery. I have taken it apart (completely disassembled every component) 3 times and each time I am getting quicker and making sure each component is connected. No connectors are loose and I have taken off each EMF metal shield to make sure no chips look shorted or have cracked solder joints. All the motherboard traces that I can see are free of breaks. I appreciate the advice prop man!
