My Philips 55PUS7101/12 is exactly 3 years old and the screen just stopped working.
I still get sound and light from the Ambilight.
Can I order any part and solve this by myself?

Marcus Sätherström when you turn your TV on and you have sound indicating that you are on a valid channel, shine a flashlight beam at an angle against the screen . See if you can make out shapes etc. If so it is your backlight that may have failed. If not then it is time to remove the back from your TV and take a look at the boards. This can be a power board as well as a main board issue. Take some good pictures and post those with your question, that way we can see what you see . Also, on your T-con board is a fuse. With your TV on, check the fuse to see if there is power on it (12VDC). Try not to shorten out any pins while checking on a live TV :-)
Marcus Sätherström the fuse is the one with the red arrow on it. Use your meter in ohm mode and place one probe on either side of the fuse (blue arrows) and watch your meter. If you have continuity it will move the needle (analog) or move from a high value to 0 (depends on your meter). If you have continuity, check for power (yellow arrows). With the TV on place the red probe on one of the points on the fuse and the black probe to ground with your meter in VDC mode. You should have around 12V on it.

I don’t get any shape when i use a light to see on the screen. I will open up the TV and post some pictures and hopefully you can help me out with this! :-)

Marcus Sätherström the last board you found is your T-con board. If you remove the plastic cover you should find the marking “F1” on that board. That will be your fuse. I hope you have a multimeter available to you for testing purposes.
@oldturkey03 Ok, I have posted a new photo of the board. I can't find de "F1" you are talking about.. Do you see it? Yes I will soon have a multimeter for the testing.
Marcus Sätherström yours is right above the power connector. That is the one with the red and black wires. Let us know when you have a multimeter.

Hi!
Try to disconnect the 51 pin ribbon cable from the T-con board!
If you have than color screen looping(white, red, blue, green), than there is a problem with that cable!
I‘ve got the same problem, and I solve it with an eraser.
I put it on the connection by the T-con Board, and screw back the metal plate!
It pushes the connector down, and the picture is back!
This is a permanent fix, I don’t know how long it will be, but it cost‘s you „nothing“!

I am so non tech so please be patient.
My TV model 49PUS6561/12
has sound and ambi light but black screen. I have read the other comments but really don’t understand what I can do to try to fix this.
Can any one help please. I think I have had this TV maybe 4 yrs
For us it seems to be the logic board, the one with the HDMI connectors. The power board feeds the logic board and the logic board provides the power to the middle board what should feed the backlight. 2/3 boards replaced now.
All 3 boards replaced. No go:( a well, worth the shot

Change the backlight strips you can test it with a flashlight point it at the screen if the tv is on
I'm just reading this with my TV opened up, the logic board is getting power fine. I think this might be a software problem and it needs a hard reset but on my model (philips 55pus6703/12) this is not possible.

Hi @cbdb22714,
You should be able to do a hard reset (power refresh) as all this is, is disconnecting the power to the TV and then pressing and holding the joystick key on the back of the TV for 30 seconds, then releasing it and reconnecting the power and then using the remote or the joystick key to turn it on. This should drain any residual power from the TV and reset the firmware
See p.9 of the user manual for the location of the joystick key.
Doesn’t work, I have been trying and still black screen. I can connect my phone with the tv and play music but no pictures, I tried to use the Philips control app, but to connect it they send a code to the tv, so I can’t see it

hello guys, i had the same problem, tv was working but i had a black screen (not even the philips logo shown at startup). my problem was one of the flat cables, somehow it wasn't in the right position.
The two cables were missing small parts from the sides so it didn't fit perfectly. This means that the cable didn;t slide perfectly into position and the very small pins i think weren't toching the right pins from the cable.
After like 5 tries of adjusting the cable, started at the maximum height, and slowly moving the position of the cable lower, i found the right position and my problem was fixed. Of course you have to disconnect and adjust the cable with the TV off and.
I hope this information help you figure it out if it is the same problems.

Hi, my name is Laurent. I am facing the same issue as discribed (no display at all) but audio and ambilight working. Did someone found the solution for this problem ? I already changed the SSB board, but still no VIDEO at all. Thanks in advance for your help.

Hi Laurent! Did you try to shine a strong flashligt on your screen while the tv is on? I have sound and ambilight, but no picture, but when i used a flashlight and looked at the panel i saw picture. As far as i know the background light is controlled by the TCON card.. i found a fuse on my card that didnt look good.
