Christina Gaston what red light and what have you checked? If we need to look at the boards etc. are you okay with removing the back and using a multimeter to do some measuring
Your main board(HDMI, usb component connections etc… area) must be replaced. A used one can be found on ebay for 45$ or so. It can be replaced fairly easily via YouTube tutorials.
