My 1992 Corvette (garage kept) wasn’t started for about 3 months. When I tried to start it, it cranked fine, but the engine showed no signs of starting. It has gas and fuel pump is working. I used a SPARK TESTER and the engine failed to show a spark. Before this event the engine ran perfectly. This never happened before. Is this something I could possibly analyze myself and what would be the best approach? Thank You

Hey Herb.
The gut wants me to say your problem resides within the ignition module, control, and/or coil. However, this assumes many facts not in evidence. You would need to perform the appropriate diagnostics to track down your issue. If you have the knowledge and experience, and an automotive diagnostic system (picoscope, etc.) you could do this on your own. Otherwise, it’s best to put it in the hands of a qualified service pro.

In addition to Tonys answer, on a 1992 I would also suspect corroded wiring. Use a multimeter and start testing for continuity from the battery forward.

In a 92 LT1 engine, you need to suspect the Optispark unit.

I have a 92, and am experiencing this issue right now. I have also changed the electric fuel pump just last year, so I am leaning on the Opti-Spark or MAF Sensor, either could cause crank with no start. Not excluding Electronic start Module either. Yes I have changed all these components out myself in the past with the Opti-spark being the biggest pain in the butt.
