The button on the door lock is broken
do the magnetic button on the door when you close it supposed to keep it like it's broke so when they close the door the machine won't start it's like the door is still open

Yes Sir, these washers are designed not to operate without first getting a signal from the door that it is closed and locked securely. The door opens and closes frequently, working this switch and it’s mechanisms each time, and they eventually fail.
If you’ll give us a model number for your washer, we’ll see if we can’t get the information on the parts and how it’s replaced, etc., for you.

Magnetic door plunger model number 414-722-10
@Willie Smith . What I need is the model number for the washing machine itself. It is usually found on the inside of the door, on the door itself, or maybe on the lower left side of the washer. The number you gave is not it.
