Compass not working and gyroscope inverted

Hi guys,

I just swapped my first NAND for a customer because the old one was broken. I received the wifi/bt address with help from a friend in China. It worked after some trial and error but now the compass/gyroscope is acting weird.

When I use the camera it thinks it is in landscape when I hold it vertically and vice versa.

The compass and level tool are also stuck.

I already replaced the compass and phosporous which is under the NAND. THOUGHT I might have broken it when replacing the NAND. Also replaced both gyroscope IC (U3010, U3030) just in case. I don’t have a detailed diagram for intel mainboards so I am not to sure about the voltages but for the lines that have the value in their name it is all correct. I restored the phone after every IC I replaced.

Undo typing works

Phone wasn’t working when it came in because she somehow fried her NAND. Could not be read with a NAND reader.

Are you sure you are talking about the iPhone 6S? There is only one version of the logic board (no Intel vs. Qualcomm like on the 7).

You might want to check Phosporus U3020); it is right next to the NAND. While it is the barometer and not an accelerometer, the 4 sensor IC’s do all interact. Look up the voltages and inspect for trace damage or dislodged components near the NAND and on the reverse side.

Oh yeah my bad, I got two phones mixed up. Both have NAND problems. I replaced the phosporous as well. All 4 IC have been swapped. Compass, 2 gyroscope and the phosporus. I will double check the voltages and for damage on the board.

Hmmm I might have screwed up the mainboard.

I am getting a green startup screen with black apple logo. The colors are distorted and almost impossible to see. Anyone have encountered this problem before after NAND??

For people who repair NAND. I reballed the NAND and after a few tries, it was fine again. Maybe I used too little solder paste. Compass/gyroscope problem still there. Replaced the 4 IC just in case one of them was bad. Measured the voltages and resistance values and they are all within range. Main board problem?? She did fry her NAND
