Installed New Battery but wondering if Its working correctly.

Hello Dudes!

Just installed a new battery from ifixit and im wondering if I did it correctly. I’m at 43% and it says its going to take 2:33 to fully charge. Is this normal? I’ve forgotten how long it takes a new battery to fully charge. I also bought a new 85w magsafe 2 charger from Apple. Does this charge up time seem correct? Do I need to do anything else after I install a new battery.

thanks for the future tips and advice.

If you have the computer on and are using it then yes, this is a normal charge time. I recommend turning the unit off and leaving it to charge without a load on the system. It'll charge much quicker

These macbooks have massive batteries so they will take quite a while to charge and will charge slower when the Mac is used.

Good to know! Now, the problem I'm having is the computer shuts down around 37-35 percent. I've calibrated the battery and did a SMC reset. Still shuts down around 37-35 percent. Is there a solve to this? Thanks!
