How to connect battery wire to port?
What do i do if the new battery cable wont connect to its port? Is there a certain way to attach it, rather than just trying to latch it in its port?

It should just plug in check it's been folded like the original and it should just plug in compare it to the original battery just in case u have the wrong battery for the phone...

I agree, it sounds like this might be a case of 6 vs 6S battery/order/delivery.
