Just confirming that your phone is a Uniden D1760-2, is this correct?
If not what is the model number of the phone?
If it is do you have 2 handsets and you cannot call out from either one or only 1 and you cannot call out?
Has it worked OK before?
Do you get a dial tone when you press the Talk button and listen to the phone?
Is the phone's base station connected to a landline that come in from the street or is it connected to your internet modem and your phone service is over the internet?
if it is connected to the internet modem has the modem been configured correctly for the phone?
There are certain codes that are inserted on your phone that can allow your phone to send and receive any calls. My best advice is for you to consult the manufacturers of the phone or the service providers.

Sounds like it was your landline service provider who had a technical problem more than it was a problem with your phone then. It can happen ;-)
