Why does my game get stuck a white screen while others dont?

My game is Legend Of Zelda: The Minish Cap. When booting up, the GAMEBOY screen shows up with the pink Nintendo underneath (meaning that the game is working), but after that the screen stays white. My other games dont do that, what might be happening?
