Black screen, hdmi issue

Wiiu worked fine out of the the box directly connected to the tv via hdmi until it was plugged into an hdmi splitter with a power source that was too strong. Something likely got fried. Will no longer work directly plugged into hdmi. Black screen. Oddly enough, it works fine if plugged into the hdmi splitter (with correct power adapter this time)!
