What is the model number of your Samsung DVD player?
fan-ng most probably means "fan no good",
First check that the fan’s air vent is not blocked or obstructed by dust.
If it is clear check that the fan is working (assuming your player has a fan-you don't state the model number).
If it isn't working, check with an Ohmmeter that the fan motor is OK. Do this with the power disconnected from the unit and the fan disconnected from the motherboard.
If the fan motor is OK then you’ll have to check if there is power being applied to the fan motor when the unit is powered on.

A lot of fans have a sensor in them that lets the control board know that they're operating.
If you check the fan connector if it has more than two wires it will have a sensor (usually a hall effect sensor which indicates speed but it could also be another type).
Perhaps the sensor is faulty or the wiring back to the control board
