I think I bricked my NEW 3DS XL (SOLVED)

Okay so i know im stupid alright so dont mention it.

i installed homebrew and luma etc and my dumb ass tried to guess what? update it. and the whole system crashed and when i try and turn on my ds i cant. the blue light comes off then immediately turns off so i cant even boot it up, ive tried recovery mode and everything and i cant get it on. somebody help???? or do i just need to get a completely new 3ds? i have all my files backed up still

The message that comes up is failed to apply 1 firm patches

FIX:

essentially just put bootfirm onto the root of the sd card and it fixed itself yey

@microwavemeal lets first make sure that we are looking for the right device. You say yours is a 3DS but pick the 3DS XL. So, what device do you really have?
