Blue screen of death & having problems turning on

Lately I have been having trouble turning my laptop on. Press the power button, the power button lights up and nothing happens.. I try over and over and it eventually ends up turning on. Why is this happening and how can I fix it?

I also get the blue screen of death about once a day and I don’t know why or how to stop it from happening. After the blue screen of death it says we will restart your laptop for you but it never restarts, just shuts down and I have to go through the process of having to try and turn it back on.

Any help or advice would be appreciated!
