Eject button is not working, I can eject from system & reinsert disks

Hello everyone, i have a very weird problem that got me confused and frustrated , after opening my PS4 for cleaning and applying new thermal paste (I did it twice before with no problem), i placed everything back and everything thing works fine except for the eject button, i can insert disks normally and eject it using the software or the emergency screw, only the touch button doesn’t work i’m sure its not the eject button, rubber spacer or the silver pin on the housing because i tried to touch the Copper pin on the drive board but it doesn’t respond or beep..

Any ideas!!

Is this the model where it uses your finger touch to eject and power on the PS4?

If yes the chances are the metal spring used to contact the eject button to the eject board is probably bent the wrong way. If it’s not broken you can just bend it back to it’s original position:

@benjamen50 yes it is my model ( CUH-1003A ), but it’s not the case, i already tried to reposition it, also I tried to remove the lower case and touch the copper pad on the board directly and nothing happened..!!

How's the cable between the eject daughterboard and the main board? Sometimes it might not be plugged in fully on both sides or the cable / connector on either side being damaged.

If you mean the main cable that connects the blue ray drive to the entire motherboard yes it’s connected but i have some suspicions that its partly damaged and I already ordered one, but i was wondering which one of the three is the eject ribbon cable ?
