Power Button Doesn't work, insert disk turns on system but no display

My Playstation 4’s power button does not appear to do anything anymore (which is annoying but not the end of the world in itself) but I am able to turn on the console by inserting a disk. By turn on the console I am strictly speaking of the blue light strip turning on and the fans turning on and the disk spinning. However, I do not see anything on the HDMI out. I am trying to either A. figure out how the power button works so I can try to manually trigger from the board to get to the safe boot mode or B. some other way to try to understand why it wont display. Any other thoughts people might have to try to get this thing up and running again would be greatly appreciated!
