My keyboard isn't working properly

When I was cleaning my display, I spilled a little bid of the cleaner on my keyboard. Only a few drops. Later I noticed it my keyboard was freaking out and all the keys I pressed would input symbols. I turned my computer off and let it chill for a bit and then my keyboard didn’t work at all apart from the power button. I tried the P ram reset, didn’t work, I reinstalled OS X and the keyboard worked again except when I press 1 - 9 or q - o it double presses. For example q inputs q1 or 1 inputs q1, w inputs w2 and 2 inputs w2. Does this mean it’s a hardware failure and I need to replace my keyboard?

That depends on what product you used for screen cleaning, but given the issue it’s probably water based. There’s a small chance the liquid is very clean and minerals free and would just need to evaporate to get the keyboard back working again once it dries but I wouldn’t count on that too much. Try applying moderate heat with a hair dryer and keep the Mac running all the time overnight to see if heat changes the picture, but chances you’ll need to replace keyboard (very difficult job) or the topcase are pretty high.
