iMac Intel 27" Retina 5K Display (Mid 2017)

Model A1419 / EMC 3070 / Mid 2017 / 3.4, 3.5 or 3.8 GHz Core i5 or 4.2 GHz Core i7 Kaby Lake Processor (ID iMac18,3) / Retina 5K display. Refer to the older iMac Intel 27" Retina 5K Display (Late 2014 & 2015) guides as the system is very similar.

Customized hinge with built in Vesa-mount?

I remember seeing on a forum about someone under the name Scott, that happens to make his own custom bracket, for the Imac 5k with the non-removable stand?

I cant remember the thread though, but the bracket basically replaces the hinge mechanism, and works the same as the built in vesa-mount.

So i am just wondering whether anyone happens to have one of these?

so it can be done on the later Imac 5k’s?

Because i were stupid enough not to get the version without the stand..

How about giving us your systems S/N so we can check which model you have. The newer 5K systems have a slightly different set of parts.

Its the mid 2017 mod.

i5 7th gen with the 3.4ghz.

The parts I listed are the right ones! It's the iMac Pro which is different.

Thank you so much. But too bad theyre abit pricey. Ive been thinking about replacing the hinge with the Imac Pro one. Im guessing the location for the screwholes on the hinge for the Pro, are different?

Ive been thinking about maybe drilling new holes on the hinge, Perhaps that could work?
