This could be caused by a worn out heating element, but one thing to try before taking the machine apart is to run a descaling solution though it.

I just ran the descaling process it was called and hot through that went to make me a cup of coffee and it was lukewarm now what happened

I run a 12 ounce mug through it and it comes out too hot to drink. My wife runs a 8 ounce cup through it and she has to microwave it afterwards. Probably has something to do with where the temp cutoff switch is.
