Try starting the phone in safe mode and see if the problem still occurs.

If it doesn’t occur when in safe mode, then the problem is being caused by a downloaded app. The trick is to find out which one. You’ll have to uninstall each downloaded app, one by one and test the phone in normal mode between each uninstall. When the problem is no longer there, the last uninstalled app was the problem. Start with the ones installed or updated at about the time the problem first started.

If it still occurs when in safe mode, try performing a factory reset to see if this resolves the problem.

When you have completed the backup, factory restore the phone using the phone’s factory restore feature.

Be aware that a factory restore will erase all your data and downloaded apps. It will restore the phone to its’ factory default condition or last updated condition. That is why it is important to backup first.

When the restore has been completed, check if the problem is still there.

If it is still there you have a hardware problem.

If it now works OK, using the backup that you made earlier, restore the phone to what it was before you started using the phone’s restore feature.

When the phone has been restored, check that it still works OK.

If it does then the “reset” has resolved the problem
