Replaced display flex cable, startup chime loop

Hello! I just replaced my Macbook’s display flex cable, and it’s been working fine until yesterday when I tried to reinstall macOS on it (I was running Manjaro).

I booted it from a USB drive, and it didn’t boot successfully so I tried rebooting it. This is when it started to boot loop and sound the startup chime over and over until I removed the power.

I attempted to troubleshoot it by unplugging the display cable, and although I can’t see what’s happening on the screen it doesn’t repeat the startup chime…
